Is it because the pageant was held there and most of the judges are Chinese? In my opinion, it should have been Gabriel Garro of Costa Rica who get the slot. Anyway, China has 2 contestants in this competition just like USA. North and South for China, East and West for USA. Wait, the US also have a representative from its Island states Hawaii and Guam so that makes them 4 Americans. Although the winner represents USA East, he is technically a Puerto Rican who is a US citizen. Mr. USA West is Filipino American and Mr. Hawaii is Filipino who is a Hawaiian/US citizen. So what' s with manhunt having more than 1 representative from one country anyway? Maybe they want to enlarge the competition by attracting more contestants (or by splitting a large country into 2).
