Actually, it's year 3 and Pinoy Pop Superstar has made some changes to make the show more exciting. I like the new set and the new format wherein there are 3 rounds. The first round: 3 contestants will now sing one after the other with no commercial break (i like this...u will be able to compare them better) and then the one with the lowest score will be eliminated. The top 2 will advance to round 2: the head-to-head round. The winner will advance to round 3 where he or she will compete with the current champion. Really like the judges here...everything they say has substance unlike in "SFASIAM".

Anyway, it’s their first show of the season so what better way to start than seeing the current grand champion perform. Whoelse–it’s Gerald Santos whose victory last week is being questioned by televiewers. I can’t blame the televiewers, in my opinion (like the majority’s) the winner should have between these three: Aicelle, Denver or Harry. See the PPS2 banner above? Anyway, they are all winners in their own right. I think what the judges saw in Gerald is the “sincerity” feel when he sings. But i’m looking for the total “superstar” package that’s why i disagree with the result.
