It’s a little ironic on Joseph Astor’s very emotional video that he’s doing a very upbeat song. He mentioned in his video that he’s relying on Philippine Idol to bring his family out of poverty. And then he performed Santana’s Maria Maria with matching “giling” like a macho dancer that Pilita Corales commented that Joseph is “kilabot” ng kalalakihan at kababaihan. Joseph is working really hard to be included in the Top 12 and it shows. But its in his rendition of “Why Can’t It Be” two weeks ago that i appreciate the richness of his voice, not from his song choice tonight. But his performance did everything for him tonight to deserve that final slot. I will vote for him. Voice Quality: 9 | Performance: 10.
