Joseph Astor — Philippine Idol Wildcard Contestant

A dead-ringer of heartthrob Piolo Pascual, Joseph Astor II of Angeles Pampanga breezed through the auditions and snatched a place in Philippine Idol Top 24. But the “Piolo Pascual” thing didn’t work out for him in the Top 12 guys where he wasn’t even in the Top 6 even though his rendition of “Why Can’t It Be” received rave reviews from the judges. He will face Gian and Ramirr tomorrow (the top favorites among the guys) in the wildcard round where only two guys can enter the final four.
