Jellica “Jelli” Marie Mateo – Philippine Idol Top 12

A towering beauty at 5’8″, Jelli never fails to make “heads turn.” But Jelli is more than just a pretty face—she has something in between her ears. She graduated valedictorian in high school and completed a Business Management Course from the University of Asia and the Pacific. She narrates that, in high school, the late composer George Canseco (a family friend) told her she can sing. Currently, she sings in hotel lounges and high-profile bars. She models part-time and ocassionally accepts hosting stints at parties and events. She lives with her best friend at a comfortable condo in Ortigas. Indeed, Jelli is an epitome of a “metro” girl—independent, wise and driven.
