20th PMPC Star Awards for TV: GMA Wins Best Station

This year, the awards were given evenly, ABS CBN got 26 trophies while GMA got 24 and the most prestigious Best Station with Balanced Programming award. That means no boycott from the internationally awarded Kapuso channel this year. Here is the list of winners and nominees:

IN MY OPINION: This year, fair ang distribution ng awards. Talagang iniwasan ng PMPC na maboycott uli sila ng GMA 7 dahil kung isa sa dalawang giant networks ang mawawala sa labanan, mawawalan ng sense ang awards nila. I think all of the winners deserve their trophies but i have a question for one…It seems na paborito talaga ng PMPC si Diether Ocampo by awarding him AGAIN the coveted Best Drama Actor award (this time for Ikaw ang Lahat sa Akin.) I’m just curious, why not John Lloyd Cruz or Piolo Pascual or Dennis Trillo? Or the veterans Christopher de Leon or Albert Martinez? Maybe i’m not a fan of Diether’s acting and don’t get me wrong, i think he is improving but i find John Lloyd, Piolo and Dennis more refined with their respective performances in the drama series in which they are nominated. Opinion ko lang po.
