World Trade Center Wins Hollywood Movie of the Year Award

Oliver Stone’s gripping 9/11 drama World Trade Center was named Best Film in the first major awards show of the 2006/2007 season which was chosen by the public voting online at the Yahoo! movies and Entertainment Online websites. The voting site received up to 20 million visitors and almost 100,000 votes were cast.

The nominees for the Hollywood Movie of the Year Award were Cars, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, X Men III: the Last Stand, Superman Returns, Little Miss Sunshine, The Da Vinci Code, The Devil Wears Prada, World Trade Center, United 93 and Mission Impossible 3.
