Nicole Kidman is Hollywood’s Highest Paid Actress
November 30, 2006 by cd
For the first time in five years, Nicole Kidman is the highest paid actress this year beating Julia Roberts’ 5 year-reign according to an annual showbiz earnings list.
Kidman, 39 years-old and Oscar winner for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours in 2002 is now worth $16M to $17M per movie after a string of daring roles over the past year.
However, Kidman falls short of Julia Roberts’ $20M per movie before the Erin Brockovich star put her career on hold to marry and have children.
The four actresses rounding out the top five on the 2006 list — Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz — earned an estimated $15 million per film each.
They were followed by Halle Berry, Charlize Theron and Angelina Jolie at Nos. 6, 7 and 8 with acting fees of $14 million, $10 million and $10 million, respectively.
