December 31, 2006 by cd · Leave a Comment

I really like this caricature of the Grand Slam Queens of 2006 from Critical Beauty. Grand Slam Queens are the winners of the 5 major beauty pageants in the world: Miss Philippines in the Miss Tourism Queen International, Miss Czech Republic in Miss World, Miss Puerto Rico in the Miss Universe, Miss Chile in Miss Earth and Miss Venezuela in Miss International. From the five countries who won a grand slam crown, who should receive the Country of the Year award or the country who have won the most crowns for 2006? Stay tuned in Beauty World Cup to find out soon.

Charlotte’s Web - Full Trailer

December 30, 2006 by cd · Leave a Comment

I thought this is another “Babe” movie since the main character is a talking piglet. But this is different. Charlotte’s web is a story of friendship between the pig and a spider. It stars Dakota Fanning (Tom Cruise’s horrified daughter in War of the Worlds). It’s currently showing in the US alongside lots of cool movies like Eragon and Dreamgirls which we are about to see after the filmfest or 2nd week of January.

Synopsis:
Fern is one of only two living beings who sees that Wilbur is a special animal as she raises him, the runt of the litter, into a terrific and radiant pig. As Wilbur moves into a new barn, he begins a second profound friendship with the most unlikely of creatures–a spider named Charlotte–and their bond inspires the animals around them to come together as a family. When the word gets out that Wilbur’s days are numbered, it seems that only a miracle will save his life. A determined Charlotte–who sees miracles in the ordinary–spins words into her web in an effort to convince the farmer that Wilbur is “some pig” and worth saving.

The Maze - Taylor Hicks MP3 + Lyrics

Shadows to the right, and to the left
I see myself and i’m not myself
Nowhere to stop, nowhere to go
And I just don’t know of anything else.

It’s 4 o’clock in the morning but i’m wide awake
And thoughts of you prey on my mind,
I know i’m outsmarted this time.
