Hyun Bin literally means "bright light". He was born in Seoul, Korea on September 25, 1982. And his name compliments him because he is indeed one of the "brightest" stars in Asia as his tv series My Lovely Sam Soon (or My Name is Kim Sam Soon in GMA 7) became a hit all over asia including the Philippines.
