Katherine Grace Cosme Abad, otherwise known as Kaye Abad, was born on the 17th of May 1982 in Easton, Pennsylvania, USA. When she was barely 10 days old, her parents brought her to the Philippines. The Abad family settled in Imus, Cavite where they still live today. Kaye Abad is the eldest of three siblings. Her parents are well-respected business entrepreneur.
As with the other popular celebrities today, Kaya also started with the children’s show Ang TV, on ABS-CBN. She later became a member of Star Circle Batch 3. Showing a lot of promise and flair in acting, she starred in Star Drama Theater Presents to showcase her talents. At 16, Kaye made an impression when she won her first major award in the Asian International Awards for best supporting actress (First Runner-Up). Her acting prowess was noticed. In 2002, she would single-handedly picked by Fernando Poe Jr to play his daughter in the film, Batas ng Lansangan in which she was cited a Best Supporting Actress nomination.
