Quitting American Idol season 5 for a recording career may not be the smartest choice but i think it worked for Mario Vasquez. Maybe he thought he cannot beat Carrie Underwood and Bo Bice that's why he opted for the practical choice: to accept what has been offered to him. But the Mario Vasquez album took a long time. And finally at the last quarter of 2006, it's been out and his first single Gallery entered the Billboard Top 100 singles. The album isn't bad, never thought Mario Vasquez has the r&b thing going on. The cd is currently a regular in my player unlike with other cds that took only 1 running.
