4 RP Schools in Top 500 World Universities

Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Institute of Higher Education has released its 2006 Ranking of World’s Top 500 Universities which is quite similar to the other rankings conducted by MIT and Stanford.
The top ten are:
1. Harvard University (USA)
2. Cambridge University (United Kingdom)
3. Stanford University (USA)
4. University of California – Berkeley (USA)
5. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA)
6. CalTech (USA)
7. Columbia University (USA)
8. Princeton (USA)
9. University of Chicago (USA)
10. Oxford University (United Kingdom)
Four Philippine schools made it to the Top 500 this year (based from 2006) and they are:
1. University of the Philippines – ranked no. 299th
2. De La Salle University – ranked no. 392nd
3. Ateneo de Manila University – ranked no. 484th
4. University of Sto. Thomas – ranked no. 500th

Hi….everyone!
That survey of top 500 universities is surveyed by self-centered redneck americans supposedly geniuses. They top but without details why they are so; there are no supporting facts either.
by the way, these top 10 universities are the breeding-ground for barbaric politicians that waged wars to serve their own corporate interests. These Us should be the breeding-ground of peace-loving people that can stop any wars. THey should stop exporting democracy by force. It should be by deplomacy.
The USA now is dominating the world without restriction….they should be stopped.
If theyare topnotchers they must not have been brainwashed by their blood-thirsty gov\’t.

Have you guy really checked the list? Philippines is not even there. The closest asian country there is Singapore

this survey is not credible enough…I agree with slake there are NO SUPPORTING FACTS with regards to the ranking…LA Salle MAIN above with UST and ATENEO? who the heck would believe that?

get over it people…2006 list toh, 2008 na. may bago na uling list. at hindi umabot sa top 500 ang UST at DLSU. bumaba pa ang ranking ng UP.

a list like this is not credible nor worth laying your confidence on it. you will know an educated person from one who is not. as to what school you went to is immaterial. people can go to top schools because their parents maybe rich. There are many ways to hang on to or remain in a school. It is misleading.
