100 Sexiest Men in the Philippines

Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo is MMFF’s Top Grosser

January 11, 2007 by

Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo
It’s official! Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo has overtaken Enteng Kabisote 3 in the boxoffice race to the top. KKK’s 2 weeks gross is now P139M against Enteng Kabisote’s P128M which is quite phenomenal na rin.

We watched KKK at Market Market last Sunday, the last day of MMFF. Would you believe hindi kami nakaupo agad?! Punong puno ang sinehan considering na last day na ng MMFF. Kahit sa floor na lang kami umupo initially, sulit naman kasi like what we’ve heard, maganda at well-made talaga ang movie. Commendable ang acting ni Ryan Agoncillo, very natural. And how can you forget Gina Pareno as Juday’s mom? The movie belongs to her. I will not be surprised kung mag-grand slam si Ms. Gina Pareno for Best Actress this year (for Kubrador) and Best Supporting Actress (for KKK).

I’m sure extended ang showing ng KKK. Sa hindi pa nakapanood, highly recommended ang movie na ‘to.

May mga nagtatanong kung ano raw ang Local Top grossing movies of 2006. It’s hard to say dahil wala naman tayong official tabulator ng mga kinikita ng local movies unlike in the US. Filmfest movies lang ang may tally as gathered by MMDA.

But if you will allow me, here’s my guess (Local Topgrossers):
1. Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo (Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo)
2. Enteng Kabisote 3 (Vic Sotto, Kristine Hermosa)
3. You Are The One (Sam Milby, Tony Gonzaga)
4. Sukob (Kris Aquino, Claudine Baretto)
5. Kapag Tumibok ang Puso (Ai Ai delas Alas, Bong Revilla)
6. Shake, Rattle and Roll 8 (Manilyn Reynes, Sheryl Cruz)
7. Close to You (Bea Alonzo, John Llloyd Cruz)
8. Don’t Give Up On Us (Piolo Pascual, Judy Ann Santos)
9. Wag Kang Lilingon (Anne Curtis, Kristine Hermosa)
10. Eternity (Dingdong Dantes, Iza Calzado)

Biggest Flops:
Reyna, Binibining K and Pacquiao The Movie. Indie movies can never be a flop since less than 1M lang naman ang production cost nila like Ryan Agoncillo and Precious Lara Quigaman’s movie “Umaaraw, Umuulan.” I’m not sure kung maco-consider na flop ang Tatlong Baraha (i’m calling it Tatlong Maskara before hehehe). What do you think guys?
