Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez Play their First Mature Role in ‘The Promise’

GMA Films and Regal Films is trying to set a box-office trend with their Valentine movies starring Angel Locsin and Richard Gutierrez. In 2005 Valentine season, box-office ang Let the Love Begin ng Angel/Richard loveteam. In 2006 Valentine season, hit din ang movie ng dalawa na I Will Always Love You. This year, and on Valentines day mismo ang opening, another Angel/Richard starrer ang inaasahang kikita sa takilya. But this time’s different than the previous two movies.
The Promise ang title ng movie and it will be the first mature role na gagampanan nina Angel and Richard. So expect a lot of kissing scenes and bed scene(s) na talagang pinaghandaan daw ng dalawa.
The Promise is a loose remake of Reyna Films’ Hihintayin Kita Sa Langit (1991) of Carlos Siguion-Reyna, starring Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta. Raquel Villavicencio, scriptwriter for both movies, disclosed na hawig din sa Wuthering Heights ang storya nito.
The Promise also stars TJ Trinidad, Rhian Ramos, Ryan Eigenmann, and Raquel Villaviciencio herself as TJ and Rhian’s mother.
