I’ve just watched 13 episodes of Ugly Betty in just one week! I’m hooked and craving for more. Ever since nanalo ang Ugly Betty ng Golden Globe for Best Comedy beating Desperate Housewives and the Office, i ask myself “why did i missed this one?” Kala ko kasi kapareha lang ng Betty La Fea, yung tagalized telenovela ng Channel 7 dati na tumalo sa Alicia ng dos. But actually there are lots of twists in Ugly Betty and life lessons, too! America Ferrera (as Ugly Betty) is perfect for the role. I remember her sa Siterhood of the Travelling Pants and she’s perfect for Ugly Betty.

I love love love love Ugly Betty! Paging GMA 7 or ABS CBN, please buy the franchise of Betty La Fea for a local version. And give Sarah Geronimo or Yasmien Kurdi the role of Betty and Sam Milby or Dennis Trillo the role of Daniel, Betty’s boss. Sigurado papatok ito sa ratings! Remember dito nyo sa Starmometer nakuha ang idea ha so tawag na sa Colombia!

2007 Screen Actors Guild Winners

My favorite movie to win this year’s Oscar — Little Miss Sunshine — won the most prestigious award in Screen Actors Guild which is the Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Motion Picture. America Ferrera won the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy series for Ugly Betty. She have just won the Golden Globe early this month. Does this mean an upcoming Emmy for newcomer Ferrera beating the ladies of Desperate Housewives?

Looks like the Desperate Housewives have lost their spark.

SOP – “Dream” Medley by Danny Tan

This is the reason why SOP is among the 5 variety shows in the world to have been nominated in the prestigious 2007 New York Festivals for television for Best Variety show. This number showcasing generations of excellent singers from Sugar Pop, to Pinoy Pop Superstar winners/runner-ups to pioneers like Regine, Ogie, Jaya, Jay-R and Kyla is one of RP television’s finest.

I would rate it a perfect 10 sana if not for the mistake of Aicelle Santos na hindi nakapasok agad sa part niya, twice. Halatang na-imbyerna ang mga lola Regine at Jaya after the almost-perfect number.

Nevertheless, world class pa rin.
