Blake Lewis is the 25 year old beatbox champion from the Seattle auditions. Blake hails from Bothell, Washington, USA. He is a singer and songwriter. He currently sings for a local band named “BShorty”
His American Idol are his co-finalists Chris Sligh and Rudy Cardenas.
Blake Lewis sang Seal’s “Crazy†in his Seattle audition. Simon Cowell said “You’re good. You’re just very over the top, Blake. I don’t know if you’re as good as you think you are.†Blake responded “I’m a performer. I’ve been doing it for seven years. I represent Seattle, the Emerald City.†When Simon asked Blake why he hadn’t been discovered, Blake said because he lived in Seattle and not L.A. Simon quipped “So no one from Seattle’s ever been discovered.â€
Paula Abdul said “You know what, Blake. You’re really good. You’re really talented.†Randy Jackson said “Uh, you know what, the beatboxing was better than the singing, but I like the singing, I just think it was the wrong song.†All three judges agreed to put Blake through to the next round.
In the Hollywood auditions, he wowed everybody through his beatboxing in his group performance with co-finalists Chris Sligh and Rudy Cardenas.

Kids. B-Shorty is Blake Lewis. It was a pleasure workin’ with Blake over the last few years at our Soul United events and the Jet Deck (RIP). While I’ll miss his amazing presence at our underground events, I’m so glad he’s right where he belongs – headin’ to #1 with a bullet.
I hope yall dig Blake Lewis & the Staxx Brothers in Myspace Ho’s, from our always infamous MILFstock IV at WSU Pullman. It’s all in good fun, and to me the irony is that we musicians are the real myspace HOS. So no disrespect LADIES, and remember. . .Staxx Brothers are for THE CHILDREN (ODB RIP).

i love blake lewis…he’s the ost original in the bunch…he’s got his own style…and he got what it takes to be an American Idol…it’s unfair that he was in the botto 3 last week…let’s support him…

Heeyyy!! Blake rocks and he needs to win!! Although, I DO think that it’s a year for a girl to win like Melinda or Jordin.. But, just like DAUGHTRY from last season, with or without winning, he will definately sell millions! Go0o0o0o0o BLAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
