Phil Stacey sang “The Change.†Among the 6 songs featured tonight, Phil’s selection is the only one i haven’t heard before. But i really like it. And if you happen to like the song on the first time that you hear it, 90% of the credits belong to the interpreter. Phil is really heating up. It was a solid vocal performance with matching sincerity not to mention the goosebumps factor!
Randy Jackson: “You’re back again this week with another strong performance on a very nice vocal on a very great song.â€
Paula Abdul: “I feel like you’ve really found your comfort, this was fantastic, this was your best.â€
Simon Cowell: “Phil, you know what, I really like you, you know, and I’m glad that you had a good week last week, and you’ve come back with spring in your step, confidence. I thought it was a good choice of song, the only thing that I would advise you on is that last week we heard more of a kind of country tone in your voice, which I think suits your voice much, much more than the way you sang it tonight.â€
