Piolo Pascual and Regine Velasquez in Paano Kita Iibigin

After a long wait, Piolo Pascual and Regine Velasquez will finally have their first movie together entitled Paano Kita Iibigin. Piolo and Regine has worked together before on television in Ang Iibigin Ko’y Ikaw episode of GMA’s defunct weekly drama series Habang May Buhay in 2000 and the Lobo episode of ABS-CBN’s ongoing weekly drama series Maalaala Mo Kaya in 2001.
Belonging to rival networks and film companies, Pascual is also a main host of ABS-CBN’s ASAP 2007 which airs opposite GMA’s SOP where Velasquez is also a main host. Paano Kita Iibigin marks the first time that Pascual will work with Viva Films and the first time that Velasquez will work with Star Cinema.
Paano Kita Iibigin is a romantic drama co-production of Star Cinema and Viva Films under the direction of Joyce Bernal. This is the third full-length film of Pascual with Bernal after 2003’s Till There Was You and 2006’s Don’t Give Up on Us. This is the the fourth full-length film of Velasquez with Bernal after working together in 1998’s Dahil May Isang Ikaw, 2000’s Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw and 2001’s Pangako…Ikaw Lang.
Makakapag-promote kaya sina Regine at Piolo together sa kani-kanilang rival shows na SOP at ASAP? Ito na nga ba ang simula ng pagre-reconcile ng GMA at ABS CBN with regards to movie promotion sa magkabilang estasyon? Take note that this coming July, a movie from GMA films naman ang ipapalabas at ito ay ang Ouija na pinangungunahan ng kapusong si Jolina Magdangal at kapamilyang si Judy Ann Santos. Mai-promote kaya nila ito sa ASAP and other ABS CBN shows?
