Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson Eliminated from American Idol

It’s double elimination night on American Idol and Ryan Seacrest started the show with lots of fillers as usual. After talking about Simon’s puppet, the interview at the farmer’s market, and a recap of last week’s “Idol Gives Back”, special guest star Robin Thicke sang “Lost Without You.” And then the Top 6 performed “Paint it Black” in their Ford music video.

After the music video, Seacrest asked the first group consisting of Melinda Doolittle, Phil Stacey, and Lakisha Jones to come to the center of the stage. Seacrest told Melinda Doolittle and Lakisha Jones that they were safe and announced that it’s end of the road from Phil Stacey. As a farewell performance, Phil Stacey sang “Blaze Of Glory.”

Seacrest asked the second group consisting of Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson to stand up, and immediately announced that Jordin is safe.

Before breaking team CAKE, special guest star and this week’s mentor Jon Bon Jovi sang “You Want To Make A Memory.”

Seacrest asked Blake and Chris to take center stage. The two professed that they are best friends. Chris said that he’ll go home for Blake and the audience went whoahhhh.

Blake is now the last man standing because Chris Daughtry’s Home played for Chris Richardson.
