Miss USA Rachel Smith stumbled and fell on her butt to the delight of the Mexican audience. They booed Miss USA when she entered the Final 5 instead of their very own Miss Mexico.
Vanessa Minnillo commanded the audience to be silent in spanish. They listened. You go girl! Pinay ata yan.

Donald Trump’s Miss Universe pageant was marred by a slight mishap of reigning Miss USA, Rachel Smith.
The pageant turned awkward for Miss USA Rachel Smith who suffered a spill onstage during the evening gown phase.
The leggy beauty quickly got up, but the Mexican crowd seemed to delight in her fall, booing and whistling at her all through the walk back to the podium.
She made a quick recovery and the judges showed lenience. During the question and answer segment, the crowd in Mexico City taunted Smith with loud jeers of boos and whistles.
Donald Trump talks to FOX news about the Miss Universe audience booing Miss USA Rachel Smith. Trump told FOX news he thinks the boos were not for Smith but likely because of the policies of the United States.

but i think the mexicans were too rude! i know there’s a rift between mexico and usa because of the latter’s tightened immigration policies. pero pati ba naman sa beauty pageant eh pagiinitan yung walang kamuang-muang na contestant. sana si bush ang i-boo nila di ba?
IMO, they didn’t show nationalism but instead left a bad name for their country, especially that the pageant is shown all over the world.

thousands of mexicans cross the amrican border illegally in the hope of landing a job in america, and to be an american citizen in the future.
then they boo miss america? talk about stupid irony.

Hello!?! I know some could be political dissatisfaction but do you REALLY think that Miss USA deserved to be in the top 5 I mean she FELL during her walk….how can you deserve a high 8.6 or so when you FALL. I have been completely astonished at how all this booing surpasses the minor detail that when they first called her name to the top 5 all I could think about was how did she make it there when she FELL when she was judged on her WALKING!!!!!!!!

i can’t remember anybody complaining about the same thing when miss philippines fell a few years ago.
in fact, when miss philippines fell, all i hear was how good she was for standing up and maintaining her poise.
in fact, she even earned respect for falling down.

oh, by the way, miss USA was booed when she stood up after she stumbled and fell, before she even made it to the top 5.
meaning, the reason for the booing was not because she made it to the top 5.
