100 Sexiest Men in the Philippines

‘The Difference is Wendy’ by Juliana Palermo

July 1, 2007 by

Wendy ValdezThis is the life we choose. Some may think it’s all easy and fun, but there’s always two sides to things.

If you want a lot, you must have a lot to offer. If you want to be known to the world, you gotta give it all you got.

Sometimes, we end up biting off more than we can chew and that’s what makes it harder than it already is.

Recently, I have been following Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Season 2. Even if we deny it, all of us enjoy watching chaos.

It may be embarrassing to admit at times, but it certainly is true. As I write this, there is still one day left before the big night of PBB at the Araneta Coliseum.

Although I was gone for nearly two months and missed six weeks of this show, I still continue to watch it every time I have the chance.

And since Mariel Rodriguez is such a sweetheart, I stay up to watch her very energetic and lively hosting the Up Late edition.

I’ve worked with Mariel on Agent X44 and I definitely adore her. She is truly deserving of all the respect she’s earned in the business.

Consistency, I’d say, is what draws people to her. Whether you see her on TV or in person, she is exactly the same Mariel you see.

I would absolutely love to interview her one of these days, even though we text each other every night when it’s Uplate time!

Going back to PBB, I was supposed to be part of the celebrity edition, but it didn’t work out since I wasn’t comfortable being away from my brother and having no contact to the world for so long.

I really don’t know if I could survive it. But I do enjoy watching PBB.

Big Brother shouldn’t have sent Wendy Valdez back into the house.

This was the only thing I thought was unfair because of the text votes and the people who took time to send her out of the house.

However, as time passes, she slowly revealed that she’s a different person. Although a lot of people have been sending negative comments on Nel, Bruce and Bodie being evicted instead of Wendy, she still remains strong.

Wendy’s followers are becoming even more solid now that many are putting her down. We see everything that goes on inside that house and hear their opinions on things, but what we don’t know is what they really feel inside.

A lot of times, most people have a hard time expressing their emotions or anger, but not Wendy. I am not saying she’s the best person inside that house, but she definitely is one of a kind.

There’s no holding back with her, which sometimes can be good or bad. I simply admire her for staying focused and sticking up for her purpose inside the PBB house.

Wendy auditioned for Pinoy Dream Academy and won a place in the 2005 Bb. Pilipinas Contest. But she didn’t get noticed.

The mere fact that Wendy is proud to say and accept the world she came from is a big plus in her personality.

She has no pretentions. Nor does she try to change for others. I just hope she stays that way so she can appreciate the blessings in store for her.

We cannot blame her for being defensive at times, because she didn’t have it easy like some of us have. I can relate to the idea that people define love differently, and by these definitions, expectations are formed that can cause us pain or happiness.

If we pay close attention to PBB, we see important lessons in life.

The way different people treat and handle the situations they’re put through should serve as an example for us.

I won’t be surprised if a girl wins this competition. They’ve been put through more drama than anyone else in this house.

It’s not a matter of who needs the prize more. It’s a matter of who can appreciate and take good care of the blessings that may come after winning this contest.

I would love to know what’s on your mind, so Please register and say what you feel at http://www.forum.julianapalermo.net.

Have a great Sunday!
