Harry Potter 5 is the New All Time Wednesday Boxoffice Champ

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix smashes Spiderman 2‘s $40.4M Wednesday Record but failed to top the all-time Thursday Record. HP5′s thursday gross is aprroximately $25.65 which is good for 4th place. Star Wars: The Revenge of the Sith still holds the biggest Thursday record with a gross of $50 M.
The weekend record is yet to be released but Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix already has the biggest one-day haul among all the Harry Potter movies. Its Wednesday gross of $44.3M is truly promising but can it beat the record set by Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (2001) as the 4th All time Worldwide Topgrosser? I am skeptical, you know why? Because HP5′s summer release is under the presence of boxoffice monsters like Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, Spiderman 3, Shrek the Third and Transformers.
