GMA “Shocked” Sa Paglipat ni Angel Locsin sa ABS CBN – Showbiz Central

Wilma Galvante, GMA SVP for Entertainment TV, said they asked Angel twice kung lilipat siya sa ABS CBN last June. Angel said that she was not, twice.

When they first popped the question last June sa set ng Asian Treasures, ang sinagot daw ni Angel noon ay ang mga katagang “Papansinin ba nila ako doon? Hindi kami lilipat.”

The second instance was on July 3 at a meeting in Shangrila. Becky’s answer was “San nyo narinig yan, hindi yan totoo.” And Angel even said “Naku hindi po ako lilipat, mahal ko po kayo, di ko po kayo iiwan.”

GMA 7 was deeply hurt dahil nagsinungaling si Angel Locsin sa kanila. GMA tried their best para hindi na lumipat si Angel sa ABS CBN. They even offered Angel the much-coveted role of Marimar. But Angel declined to renew her contract for the reason that she’s going to take a six-week fashion course in London and she wants to take some rest. I’m really looking forward to hear Angel kung ano ang magiging statement niya tungkol dito.

I think Angel Locsin (and her manager) should have been honest with her mother studio, the station who made her a star that she is today. Showbiz is still a “business” at walang masama kung balak nilang lumipat ng istasyon and it’s their right and decision to look for greener pastures. Pero hindi na dapat sila nag-sinungaling. If the reason why they kept GMA hanging is that they’ve only waited for ABS CBN to “show them the money” then that’s a bull, but then again, we still have to wait for Angel’s official statement about it.

Becky Aguila said, as aired on the Buzz this afternoon, that they’ve sent a formal letter to GMA indicating their intentions of not accepting the offer from them and opening their doors to ABS CBN (approximately hours) BEFORE ng interview with Boy Abunda kung saan lumabas sa TV Patrol last July 20 ang nalalapit na paglipat nila sa ABS CBN.

I think “damage control” na lamang ang ginawa nilang sulat. As courtesy to GMA, they should have been honest in the first place. Kahit naman i-triple ng GMA ang salary ni Angel kung gusto naman talaga nilang lumipat walang magagawa ang GMA. The grass is always greener on the other side, but honesty is still the best policy.

Angel is the biggest fish na nasungkit ng ABS CBN so far. Imagine, ang star ng mga tv shows na lumampaso sa ratings ng kanilang mga programa — nasa bakod na nila! Pero pano na kung hindi mag-hit ang movie at tv series na ibibigay nila kay Angel?

One more thing. Showbiz Central centered on the issue concerning Angel and GMA. The Buzz exhibited more than 8 issues concerning Angel including the video scandal and that Angel was a lovechild of her father and his maid. If you are a discerning viewer, you will notice the undertones used by The Buzz and the “need” of ABS CBN to take Angel away from GMA.

Is it a good “business move” for ABS CBN? Definitely.
Nanonood ka ba ng “Move” sa Channel 7? Ako hindi e.
