The father of Philippine blogging Abraham Olandres, otherwise known as Yuga, was featured on Mel and Joey last Sunday night. The segment is about blogging as "bagong raket sa internet". I'm sure a lot of bloggers in the pinoy blogosphere who catched the episode have their eyes popped with dollar signs on their eyeballs after they divulged that Yuga is earning approximately 5 thousand US dollars a month through blogging. Huwaaat?! 5 Thousand US dollars? That's a lot of money! In fairness to Yuga, i think it was hyped a little bit highlighting the term "raket sa internet" at "5 thousand US dollars". Kuya Yuga explains on his blog Yugatech.com that earning money online entails a lot of hardwork and perseverance. It's not easy money at all. Better visit his blog and learn more about problogging. It's not the latest pyramid thingy to earn easy money, it's a genuine occupation which demands intelligence, creativity and hard work.
