Willie Revillame’s Ultra Stampede Case Result – Not Guilty
August 25, 2007 by cd
Secretary Raul Gonzalez of the Department of Justice has dismissed the charges of reckless imprudence resulting in multiple homicide and physical injuries during the 2006 Ultra stampede against Wowowee host Willie Revillame.
Excerpted from Secretary Gonzalez’ resolution:
…Not by any stretch of imagination can the act of Revillame, by itself, naturally and adequately lead to the stampede that killed 71 people…

Galing mag-reason out nitong mama na ito.
Quote lang:
Ah, so the case was dismissed already. There’s a simple analogy for that. Now listen noob cadets and cadettes. The area outside ultra is not anymore under their jurisdiction. It’s actually the job of the city police, who unfortunately are missing in action, to organize the streets since they’ve already received notice of an event to be held on that venue. The actors and hosts would definitely be not liable for any case because their job is simply to entertain the people and to invite viewers.
Next. Advertisement is never a crime. It’s not a valid ground for calling someone a criminal especially with the fact that this is not an organized crime.
About the cheating stuff. They’ve already explained that the box’s design is glitched. It proves that the game can be cheated yet it does not prove that the game is cheated. There’s a big difference between an assumption and a proven fact. The videos that shows the rehearsals and game proper proves the flaw/glitch, but not the crime.
Last. While it may be true that EB’s fans are numerous, a sad fact remains that half witted comments outnumbers real sensible ones. Your number does not really prove anything other than your reput@tion as an aggressive fanatic. It doesn’t prove that the mass majority could really sense the truth. Fact is, the smarter people would prefer to shut up than deal with the half witted speculations of the people.
I’m not really fond of noontime shows, yet ideas are meant to be shared.
Anyway, the speculations reminds me of primitive justice, witch hunts, and goo-goo dolls. Belief in the unprovable is really something that’s hard to deal with.
Sucks big time not to know it’s wrong, sucks even more when you knew it is.
It’s funny and at the same time shameful that most of our countrymen here rants without even realizing how absurd their accusations are. We Filipinos tend to be uncivilized, primitive, irrational or ignorant, and obnoxious most of the time. We should think first before we jump into the bandwagon.
The network wars sucks. But what sucks even more is our ignorance. These alleged evidence videos does not prove anything other than networkcentrism (my own term). Just a waste of youtube’s disk space.
