Chairman Laguardia Talks to Joey de Leon

Nakausap na rin ng chairman ng MTRCB Consoliza Laguardia si Joey de Leon hinggil sa naging bangayan nito kay Willie Revillame kamakailan. Ayon kay Laguardia, simula ngayon ay wala na tayong maririnig na “asaran” o “patutsadahan” mula sa dalawang kampo sa kani-kanilang programa.
Ngunit nang tanungin kung pinapatawad na niya si Willie…
…Hiniling ni Joey na ulitin ni Willie ang ginawa niya last Wednesday kung saan siya at ang mga co-host niya ay mangiyak-ngiyak na nagsusumamo sa manonood.

We abhor the sudden news that Kris Aquino’s & ABS-CBN’s Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal (KDOND) will end soon! For the information of ABS-CBN, this is one game show that we in Kuwait always look forward to every morning & night. In fact, since its inception until its operation or dominance today, KDOND has become a favorite past time & hence a huge hit among OFW’s here as well as around the Middle East, & probably, elsewhere in the world.
Why kill the goose that continually lays the golden eggs? Why cease to show the one game show we felt so drawn & close to our heart due to its host, larger than life attraction, cause or advocacy? Why impede the proliferation or viability of one game show which is made of the stuff upon which the TV-viewing public should rally around, KDOND being founded on such building blocks as spirit of fairness, dignity & honesty, moral & dignified ingredients or essentials found wanting if not missing from all the other game shows proliferating around, KDOND being in stark contrast with the rest of the existing game shows which had never been immune from the stigma associated with influence-peddling, maneuvering if not making a milking cow out of its willionaires or better still, millionaires?
We have always been loyal to ABS-CBN for the quality & in many times, selfless shows it generates, but alarmed with how unfair ABS-CBN treats other shows in their stable, to the point of blindly diffusing in oblivion a controversial influence-peddling generated & sowed by Wowowee, one which we had witnessed and will never be drawn into believing that it was just an honest mistake, a technical glitch or whatever but one which was made with intention given the kind of person & host the program has.
Adding insult to injury was Willie Revillame’s hard-fought, awkward act of saving-face which should have been reduced to an act of contrition if not for his intellectual glitch or shortcoming, hitting Eat Bulaga’s Joey De Leon like a mentally-deranged dog barking, prying if not cannibalizing over a wrong victim, his explanation full of nonsense, befitting of one who has gone over delusions of grandeur, simply forgetting that he is not made of the stuff akin to intellectuals who can truly exonerate themselves given such a situation. Enough of the flaws, controversies, delusions of grandeur and false hopes peddled in Wowowee, shortcomings that have become constant fixtures of the show since its inception, factors that has turned if not made a comedy of errors & flaws or a blunder of a show in Wowowee largely because of its host!
Anyway, our salute to Kris Aquino’s Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal, the one & only game show exorcised from the flaws, controversies, hidden agenda & motives inherent with the other existing game shows, the one & only game show where intellectual discussions & redeeming values are relayed to the TV-viewing public at face value after every win or loss of the contestants, KDOND standing tall out of its own hard-fought merits, one emanating from the concept of the show & most especially from its host, Ms. Kris Aquino – brave, honest, candid & full of substance!

Pepsi Paloma was an underaged Filipino-American actress who successfully made a name for herself during the early 80’s making sexy movies. She was one of the three “softdrink beauties” (the others were Coca Nicolas and Sarsi Emmanuelle) who simultaneously hit the big screen. Her list of films include:

- Virgin People (1984)

In 1982, she lodged a rape case against “Eat Bulaga!” hosts Joey de Leon, Vic Sotto, and Richie D’Horsie (also known as Richie Reyes). Paloma’s lawyer in the rape case was a much younger Rene Cayetano who would later be elected as a Philippine senator. The rape case was settled out of court. Afterwards, she stated that she was coerced to sign an affidavit of desistance by Tito Sotto (another “Eat Bulaga!” co-host and a future Philippine senator) to drop the case which had a punishment of death. De Leon, Vic Sotto and D’Horsie admitted guilt and made a public apology to Paloma.
In 1985, still burdened by her past, Pepsi Paloma hanged herself to death.

this is absolutely gettin of of hand. joey de leon should stop putting people down. he\’s so good on doing this. he\’s just ENVY. he\’s definitely acting that he is uneducated. is it really? or not? i actually think that it is so stupid of him to make these allegations to anyone. he just wants to gather more ratings, what an old fart he is. i feel so sorry for him. what a loser.
