China won the Miss Photogenic award in Miss International in 2005. Thailand grabbed the trophy last year. Now it's Asia's new beauty powerhouse Japan taking the award this year.

Host candidate Miss Japan is Hisako Shirata, a Japanese actress-model who made headlines late last year when her nude photos from one of her movies resurfaced after she won the local pageant of Miss Japan International.

After winning Miss Universe earlier this year, is Japan going to grab the Miss International crown as well? We will see come October 15 when the new Miss International is crowned.
