1 Dead Several Others Hurt in Batasan blast

One dead and several people, including two congressmen, were injured in an explosion at the Batasang Pambansa complex in Quezon City Tuesday night.

An initial report said Rep. Luz Ilagan of party-list group Gabriela sustained shrapnel wounds on her right leg and her driver died in the blast.
The report said the blast took place outside the session hall. The explosion happened near Ilagan’s Lite-Ace van that was parked outside the building’s south wing.
Most of the injured were rushed to General Malvar hospital on Commonwealth Avenue.
