Our very own Charice Pempengco was crowned “hollywood royalty” alongside Matt Damon in a feature on E! Channel’s entertainment news program entitled “Crowning Achievements.” This is the second time Charice was featured on the Hollywood program since a video of her performing “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going” became a Youtube sensation.

Charice Pempengco Sings Better Than Dreamgirls – Hollywood Grind
A 15-year-old Filipina named Charice Pempengco has proven me right once again. Filipinas sing better than black girls in my opinion. Charice performed a Dreamgirls song And I Am Telling You, which won Jennifer Hudson an Oscar, only Charice did it better. I’m certain Pedophiles who roam the Internet will agree, if not just for the fact this is a 14 year-old girl in a skirt. The most touching part is that Charice changed the words – from “You’re the best man I’ve ever known†to “You’re the best MOM I’ve ever known.†Mom must be so proud of her little Diva.
And in the poll on who sings better Charice or Jennifer Hudson, Charice Pempengco received 574 votes against Jennifer Hudson’s 54 votes.

A friend of mine introduced me to an EXTREMELY talented filipina teen named CHARICE PEMPENGCO. She flew to Korea to appear on a Korean Variety Show. Once I saw her video on youtube, I was completely hooked and spent hours searching for her on the web. Charice is around 14/15 years old and can belt out a song like Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson and Christina Aguilera. It amazes me to hear that huge voice come out of such a petite girl. Not only can she sing, but, she can dance too!
I found out that Charice Pempengco was one of the finalists from “Little Big Star” and actually placed 3rd in the competition! With such an amazing voice, it’s hard to imagine her not winning.
The good news is that a Swedish Producer saw a clip of her singing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” on youtube and contacted her. As of July 2007, Charice has been working on an album.

Im so fascinated with this cute and talented girl who made Filipinos proud of themselves. May she not forget God for the source of her talent as well as the people who made her a big name in Music industry esp. the guy on u-tube, Ellen, David Foster, the very generous and helful Oprah, my idol because of her good and big heart. I was blewn away by her amazing voice. Audiences are even astonished by her performance in Obama’s pre-enauguration as she sang “God Bless America”. She did it very well.

Oh praise the Lord, I cannot believe as young as charice could really sing as good as she sings. Keep the good work I know you will still achieve many of your dreams I’m always watching in you tube.
