On July 13, 2007, Barretto and her husband, Raymart Santiago, admitted they did not know that Francswiss Investment—which accepted their money—was involved in a pyramid scam. Their lawyer, Ellen Veza, told NBI agents that the Barrettos had invested in Francswiss, and recruited other investors as well. Francswiss duped Filipinos of almost P1 billion.

Also this year, Claudine starred in the ABS-CBN teleserye “Walang Kapalit” opposite Piolo Pascual.

Last year’s no. 18 was Iya Villania. Claudine dropped 4 notches this year. She received 535 votes in the Top 30 poll.
