The management of GMA 7 is currently holding a survey in their work force on who should play the role of Darna in the upcoming kapuso superserye in 2008 entitled Captain Barbell Meets Darna. Richard Gutierrez is wearing the yellow suit for the second time, but of course it’s not yet a done deal. Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo can still steal the role. But the big question is - who’s gonna wear the red two-piece suit now that Angel Locsin is already in the rival network?
The names in the multiple choice are Katrina Halili, Angelika dela Cruz, Isabel Oli, Ehra Madrigal, Nadine Samonte, Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Marian Rivera, Alessandra de Rosi, Cristine Reyes, Diana Zubiri, Lovie Poe, Jewel Mische, Rhian Ramos, Yasmien Kurdi and Jennylyn Mercado. Apparently, fans of Jennylyn Mercado filed an online petition for GMA to choose the 1st Starstruck ultimate female survivor as the next Darna.

Wowowee pays tribute to Youtube sensation Charice Pempengco by showing a video of her journey from joining various ABS-CBN singing competitions to performing on the Ellen De Generes show in the US. The second video is an update on Charice’s upcoming album from Star Records.
GMA Shows Dominate Christmas TV Ratings

GMA morning shows like Eat Bulaga, Daisy Siete and SOP and GMA primetime shows like Marimar, Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho and Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok topped the weekend to Christmas day tv ratings according to AGB Nielsen Media Research Philippines despite the Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) being issued by the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
Princess Sarah had it’s finale last Friday receiving 22% or no. 6 in the primetime race, the no. 1 kapamilya show that night. Spring Waltz, Princess Sarah’s replacement, premiered on Christmas day but wasn’t able to make it to the Top 10.
