Shake, Rattle and Roll 9 – Movie Trailer

What happens if you got lost in a forest and find yourself turning into an ENGKANTO? Or if you just got home and you witness your family being eaten alive by a blood hungry CHRISTMAS TREE or better yet if you can't wake up on Christmas day because of BANGUNGOT? SHAKE, RATTLE and ROLL 9 features three nerve shattering stories with only one mission: to make the audience scream to their lungs!


The first episode – Christmas tree, unveils the bone-rattling story of a family who spends a Christmas break at their grandmother’s house after recovering form a painful tragedy. As they happily celebrate their warm Christmas reunion, the eerie looking Christmas tree from the living room unblinkingly watches them with its blood hungry eyes waiting for the right timing to turn each family member into its grand Christmas feast.

Director Paul Daza marks Christmas tree as his feature film debut which he also co-wrote with Fairlane Raymundo and Enzo Valdez. Nash Aguas plays the brave Stephen who will discover the key to stop the Christmas tree while the whole cast includes John Pratts, Nash Aguas, Lovi Poe, Gina Alajar, Tonton Gutierrez, Boots Anson Roa and Sophia Baars.

The second episode- Bangungot spins a daunting suspense thriller about unrequited love. Young and beautiful Marionne (Roxanne Guinoo) is helplessly in love with the ultra serious Jerome (Dennis Trillo) who is already engaged to Florence (Pauleen Luna). As Marionne decides to confront Jerome, a red cloaked phantom horrendously traps them both into a twilight zone nightmare that leads to an unexpected fatal twist.

Raising the bar of unspeakable terror, Director Michael Tuviera (Lupin, The Promise, TXT, Shake Rattle and Roll 8: LRT Episode) will helm the first team up of Dennis Trillo and Roxanne Guinoo in the silver screen. Also joining in the cast are Pauleen Luna, Jaymee Joaquin and Jaison Gainza.

For the spine-chilling finale – “Engkanto” grips us into the uncanny tale of a teenage gothic band heading for a gig in a remote province but unfortunately finds themselves lost in the forest and inevitably takes refuge to an abandoned resort. Unknown to them they have trespassed into the territory of the stunningly tempting Engkanto (Katrina Halili) who has menacingly bound them into an inescapable deathly spell.

Screenwriter Andrew Paredes brilliantly teams up with New master Horror Filmmaker –Toppel Lee (Shake Rattle and Roll 8: Yaya Episode, Ouija,) to drive viewers in an unrelenting horrific ride. Engkanto’s front row cast includes Mart Escudero, Melissa Ricks, Matt Evans, Jewel Mische, Felix Roco, Sam Concepcion and Katrina Halili.
