Wowowee pays tribute to Youtube sensation Charice Pempengco by showing a video of her journey from joining various ABS-CBN singing competitions to performing on the Ellen De Generes show in the US. The second video is an update on Charice’s upcoming album from Star Records.

and to think na pure filipina cya.di cya katulad nina billy crawford na me half..its really amazing wen a filipino makess it to the top..i min ung features nya pinoy na pinoy pero napansin dahil sa fgaling ng voice nya.go!go!girl..dont mind pipol hu always have bad words for others..make philippines proud!!u

alam nyo bata pa si charisse. hwag nyo ng punahin kung anong hindi pumasa sa standards nyo. nakilala sya sa style na nyang yun so be it. no need for some criticism. be supportive na lang. kung si bianca syan nga na hindi kasing galing ni charisse eh nakatanggap ng standing ovation eh bakit hindi natin bigyans i charisse ng parehong supporta from us filipino.
this girl is really amazing and she need all the support from her kababayan. so no need for criticism. tulungan na lang natin syang sumikat pa.

The style of Charice is uniquely her own.It is really very hard to do those body movements while singing. Ask some professional singers and they will answer you in the positive. International divas do what Charice is doing, just like in the mold of Elvis Presley.I don’t think Charice did some extra body movement when she sang “Oh Holy Night”. Consider that she is doing those extra steps just to be near photo-seekers. Fans are egging her to come near for photo-ops and she always obliges. She endears herself to her fans by approaching them and taking pictures with them, while singing, mind you. This is a phenomenon for a 16 year old girl to be so enamored by worldwide audience in so short a time. Her pipes are suited to almost all music genre except arias or operatic songs, maybe. The bashing and negative statements occasionally included in this blog are also necessary to project opposing opinions. However, reactions written must always follow suggestions and recommendations. Lastly, a great singer does what the song demands. I tell you, she is an ‘anomaly’or an exception in the music world for no one ever attain this lofty stature very quickly. She will be a legend soon.
