Jennylyn Mercado is the New Darna?

The management of GMA 7 is currently holding a survey in their work force on who should play the role of Darna in the upcoming kapuso superserye in 2008 entitled Captain Barbell Meets Darna. Richard Gutierrez is wearing the yellow suit for the second time, but of course it’s not yet a done deal. Dingdong Dantes and Dennis Trillo can still steal the role. But the big question is – who’s gonna wear the red two-piece suit now that Angel Locsin is already in the rival network?
The names in the multiple choice are Katrina Halili, Angelika dela Cruz, Isabel Oli, Ehra Madrigal, Nadine Samonte, Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Marian Rivera, Alessandra de Rosi, Cristine Reyes, Diana Zubiri, Lovie Poe, Jewel Mische, Rhian Ramos, Yasmien Kurdi and Jennylyn Mercado. Apparently, fans of Jennylyn Mercado filed an online petition for GMA to choose the 1st Starstruck ultimate female survivor as the next Darna.
Will GMA pick Jennylyn to avoid her possible transfer to ABS-CBN before her contract expires on February?
