GMA Names Host and Judges of Pinoy Idol

Wilma Galvante, GMA Network’s Vice President for Entertainment TV, announced that Raymond Gutierrez will do the hosting job for Pinoy Idol.
As for the judges, talent manager Wyngard Tracy, singer songwriter Ogie Alcasid and singer actress Jolina Magdangal were chosen to scrutinize each and every aspirants. This was approved by the franchise-holder Fremantle Media.
So the rumors that Paolo Bediones is going to be the host and Regine Velasquez and Danny Tan as judges are finally over.

i don’t get why the die hard kapamilyas keep on commenting on when they aver that they don’t watch shows from the kapuso channel. o baka naman ang mga kapamilyas ang mas eager makapanood ng mga shows ng gma? ano ba talaga?

Ay oo may class, kaya nga karamihan sa mga naging kasali naging mga pasaway…di lang dito pati nong pumunta nang US..WORLD CLASS NGA DI BA?? hehehe…Manood na lang kasi kayo, kasi for sure kung ABS nakakuha nang IDOL..pagtatanggol nyo rin eh..wag kayong BITTER…

reasons why GMA put the three judges there.
1) Ogie can sing and is known not just for composing. he may not be as popular as a composer as Mr. C but i do agree that he has the qualities to be the next MR.C given he is commercially endorsed as a singer and not just a composer like C.
2) the main reason why Jolina is there is because she is an epitome of pop culture. saka para may taste na youthful. kasi kapag matatanda yung judge, ang laging nananalo eh yung mga bumibirit! well, we filipinos are still inclined with the concept of goo singer as someone who can shout.
3)wyngard is just ok given cowell\’s not really a singer but a talent manager. the 1st philIdol kasi, the judges were all singers so yung nanalo walang star appeal.hindi bumenta.
4)although i agree na si drew arellano dapat para mas fafable, okay na si raymond. wag lang siyang lumandi kung may gwapong kasali.
wel, i really expected na meron si ogie, but i think it would be better if the have

instead.
PDA\’s not bad naman, although if they will keep on putting bitches insyd their academy trying hard goodlooking guys, theyll suck agen.
we need good singing and not drama.

WHAT? Jolina?!! Wala na ba silang makuhang iba? I followed AI and Phil Idol both in ABC 5. Naabutan ko pa some episodes ng Phil Idol before I left Phils, then just got updates in the net. I hope GMA will NOT RUIN the show. OK lang si Mr. Gutierrez para sa akin, and even Ogie is a great choice. I am not familiar with the other judge. Pero di ko na mapapanood PI eh. Well, I am now stuck with AI and Kris Aquino\’s PSSB, since my favorite shows ended(waiting for next season, hoping that networks pick them up) or having reruns because of the writer\’s strike. sigh… At least, mas marami na ang audience because GMA will be showing it. Good luck na lang sa PI!

This is the most exciting and the most awaited show in philippine tv this year since the host and the judges as well are far better and are very suited for this most-talked program…GMA7, as i have known and believed, knows what\’s best for their viewers and what particular show they will make on air to compete for and to SURELY DEFEAT the rival network(by which they are again reintroducing the pda…and i think, abs is just trying hard to capture the hearts of the filipino people and i do know that they \

grabe talaga ang crush ko si jolina magdangal ginawa na syang judge hindi lang basta basta ha sa pinoy idol pa so it means … may kakayahan talaga si jolens at may tiwala tala ang gma sa kanya!! idol talaga sya ng bayan lao na sa mga kabataan… kaya no doubt sikat na sikat parin sya ngayon poor abs bakit nila binitiwan si jolina.. after all si jolina ang bumuhay ng star records nuong nan duon pasiya in just one day of release ng album gold na in 2 days naging platinum na…. sinong nakakagawa nyan ngayon wala!!!! as in wala only jolens can make that thing… kaya kahit wala ako sa pinas im still enjoy watching jolina via pinoy tv,,, kami lahat dito sa kuwait pinoy tv na…… may original copy na ako sa quija yehheheheheheeh…

i kinda agree with dee… but we must admit that gma\’s trademark – starting with scratches has been their best formula (i guess). i\’m crossing my fingers though. i just hope that gma will be true to its promise that pinoy idol will be the biggest show this year.
pero okay na rin… at least kahit papaano, may touch ng pagkapinoy.
sana gma people should have also considered billy crawford or jay r (but are these filipino citizens?) for the host , and lea salonga or pops fernandez for jolina\’s place.

hey, in my own ****ing opinion, this set of artists fits the show well.
1. berni varga (more on abs kxe ang talents eh, bkt hindi sa abs kxe tong show?)
2. wyngard (well, i search for his pics sa net i think hes quite good to be one)
3. i think its francis M. (why do you have to put singers like ogie alcasid?)
host = mo twister 100% (put a gay in the job? really unprofessional!!!)
bakit ganon ang GMA super wrong choice?
