Renaldo Lapuz (or Reynaldo Lapuz), the 44 year-old pinoy who became a household name in America overnight when his entertaining audition on American Idol season 7 was aired last Wednesday, is fast becoming a worldwide sensation. As of this post, his original composition “We’re Brothers Forever” already has 13 versions in Youtube from hip hop to acoustic to latin.

yup..he\’s way too old na for american idol..but NOT OUTSIDE american idol..
yup, the audition was in TEXAS..but the WHOLE WORLD watched him and still love him..

sobrang love na love ko sya! i still remember nung interview sa kanya… mangiyak ngiyak sya… i sooo want to hug and console him tuloy. and that was before i knew he is a filipino…. awwwwww…

sorry po, hindi po jologs ang tawag dun… i personally think it\’s sooo brave of him to go on that audition and make a name for himself…. why, of all the thousands who auditioned, sya lang ang nagkaroon ng instant hit with his own composition… that alone is a great feat in itself.

This guy really rocks! Kudos to you, Mr. Rey Lapuz!
Personally,nothing to be ashamed here…umaandar lang ang “crab mentality” ng iba and they just can’t accept the fact that Rey pulled this one off.
Maganda ang himig at mensahe ng kanta, aside from madaling sabayan at tandaan.
Ridiculed by AI judges? Maybe… at first they thought that he is mentally challenged.. But during Rey’s performance, they were really surprised and amazed for they don’t expect na ganun kagaling si Rey..
