We are now “soft-launching” Starmometer Forums under the subdomain www.starmometer.com/forums. I used the term “soft-launch” because during this period (i’m not sure how long), the messageboard is undergoing some “tweaking” and “testing” in order to maximize its features and functionalities. If you happen to encounter some bugs, kindly share it with me (by posting a comment here or dropping me an email at starmometer (at) gmail (dot) com so i can address the matter accordingly.

Lobo, Kung Fu Kids and Palos Fails to Penetrate Primetime’s Top 5

January 29, 2008 by · 396 Comments

ABS-CBN’s “One Gr8 January 28″ wasn’t great after all as the highly-promoted premiere episodes of Palos, Kung Fu Kids and Lobo failed to shake the tv ratings last night as the top 5 primetime programs were reclaimed by GMA 7.

Marimar is still the no. 1 program with 36.8% followed by Kamandag, Coffee Prince, 24 Oras and Zaido respectively. ABS-CBN’s no. 1 program last night and 6th overall was Lobo with 27.7 percent. Kung Fu Kids placed 7th with 26.6% and Palos placed 8th with 23.6%. The 9th position was occupied by TV Patrol while the 10th position was occupied by another GMA program – Kung Ako Ikaw.

But of course, the battle for primetime supremacy isn’t over yet. Lobo’s 27.7% is not bad considering Piolo Pascual and Angel Locsin, the main character of the said fantaserye, are yet to appear in the first episodes. They can still pull a surprise as the story progresses just like what Patayin Sa Sindak Si Barbara did on the middle part of it’s one month run.

Although Monday wasn’t great for ABS-CBN, Saturday finds good news as the premiere episode of Volta starring Ai Ai delas Alas finished second to Eat Bulaga with 20.2 percent. In Friday’s primetime, on the other hand, the final episode of Patayin Sa Sindak si Barbara finished 5th overall with 28.3 percent.

Here are the Top 10 daytime and primetime programs in Mega Manila from January 25-28:
