Four more aspiring idols failed to advance to the next round as based on the nationwide vote of more than 31 million.
Our bottom 2 in the power ranking among the guys last Wednesday were Jason Yeager and Luke Menard while our bottom two yesterday among the girls were Amanda Overmyer and Kady Malloy.

The franchise to localize the hit Colombian telenovela, Betty La Fea, which was first shown in the Philippines by GMA-7 was bought by ABS-CBN. The kapamilya network is now in the process of casting and Valerie Concepcion is leading the list of possible actresses to play the pinoy “Ugly Betty”.

Among US searchers in Yahoo, males and females agree on who the top and bottom 3 contestants are. Leading the pack is the young David Archuleta followed by the petite pinay Ramiele Malubay, and the tattooed Irish Carly Smithson. Are they also the top 3 contestants, which Simon mentioned, that have the best vocals in the competition?

The guys came back yesterday from a dismal output last week with David Archuleta ruling the show and Chikezie redeeming himself. But the girls who received rave reviews last week were just so so tonight. There were no clear stand outs as most of them delivered what we call a “safe” performance.

Graham Colton - Best Days Music and Lyrics

Last week, a different farewell song was played during the results show of American Idol season 7. The song was “Best Days” by Graham Colton instead of Ferras‘ “Hollywood’s Not America” which was used during the eliminations in Hollwood week. I’m not sure if Best Days will now be the official exit song in the entire season 7 of American Idol but i think it’s more appropriate than Ferras’ song because the latter pertains to girls only.

Ramiele Malubay performed “Don’t Leave Me This Way” by Thelma Houston on American Idol season 7 Top 10 Girls performance show. The positive: Simon Cowell thinks Ramiele is one of the Top 3 best singers in the competition. The negative: The judges didn’t like her song choice.
