The 2008 (80th) Annual Academy Awards got underway at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, Sunday night, February 24, 2008 with John Stewart as host of this year’s ceremony.

My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend’ Grosses P95 Million; Opens at No. 1 in RP!
Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez, Respectively MariMar and Kamandag, Not just made it in television, but also in movies. Recently, Mother Lily Monteverde, Regal Films and Anette Gozon-Abrugar, GMA Films, confirmed the report that My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend, The Regal and GMA Films Valentine Presentation, posted a phenomenal box office gross of Php 95 Million in just ten days from February 13-February 22, 2008.
“My Bestfriend’s” Girlfriend is a story about a simple woman named Grace played by Marian Rivera and a rich playboy man named Evo played by Richard Gutierrez. After an awkward yet memorable encounter at a stag party, Evo (Richard Gutierrez) and Grace (Marian Rivera) thought they would never see each other again. Little did they know that Grace is actually the girlfriend of Evo’s best friend, Mark (JC de Vera). As the arrogant player that he is, Evo takes advantage of what happened at the party to make Grace agree to his demands. He forces Grace to pretend as his girlfriend to make Akiko (Ehra Madrigal), his ex, jealous. But, they will accidentally fall in love to each other.
The top ten performing theaters are SM North EDSA(P1.2 Million) Followed by Glorietta(P995, 678), Powerplant(P921, 001), Glorietta(P858,904) and SM Mall of Asia with P833,778.
Rounding up the top ten theaters are Greenbelt(P822,118), SM Megamall(P799,086), Festival Supermall(P722,854), Eastwood(P645, 886) and TriNoma with P601,223.
My Bestfriend’s Girlfriend is Graded “B” by the MTRCB. It also stars JC De Vera, Chariz Solomon, Michelle Madrigal, Alex Castro, Pilar Pilapil, JC Cuadrado and Ehra Madrigal. The movie is still showing in over 120 theaters nationwide.

hindi pag-aaksayahan ng pera ng gma7 ang pagbili ng rights nyan.. iilan lang naman makakarelate nyan.. ang daming actors sa hollywood, i\’m sure iilan lang ang kilala ng mga pinoy jan even those hollywood movies/shows na nanominate and nagwin..
manood na lang ng fashion police o red carpet sa lifestyle network hehe..
