Madonna Leads 2008 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

Madonna, a pop music icon, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in her first year of eligibility as her first single, “Everybody,” came out twenty-five years ago, in 1982. Other Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees are:

Justin Timberlake, in honoring Madonna the Hall of Fame award said, “The world is full of Madonna wanna-bes. I might have even dated a couple. But there is truly only one Madonna.”

Among the artists who were nominated this year but did not get in are the Beastie Boys (who were eligible for the first time) and Donna Summer.
