Asia's songbird Regine Velasquez is set to star in the first koreanovela to be adapted on Philippine television, Kim Sam Soon. But GMA is having a hard time looking for Regine's leading man in the series, the one who will play "Cyrus", as played by the Korean heartthrob Hyun Bin.

GMA denied they are importing a Korean actor for the said role because they need to prioritize their own talent. Furthermore, hiring a foreign actor is way more expensive.
