Kimerald’s Soap ‘Chances’ a Hit in Taiwan

Bong Osorio, head of ABS-CBN corporate communications, said that the Kim Chiu – Gerald Anderson romantic tv series “Sana Maulit Muli” is a hit in Taiwan.
Taiwan Public Television Service Channel 13 bought the rights to “Sana Maulit Muli,” which was aired in the Philippines from January 8, 2007 to April 20, 2007.
The show has been dubbed in Taiwanese and renamed “Chances” for the Taiwanese audience. It is being aired in Taiwan Mondays to Fridays at 11 p.m.
Osorio said he hopes the airing of “Sana Maulit Muli” in Taiwan will begin a trend of Filipino-produced series being aired there. He said other TV stations in Taiwan have already expressed interest in acquiring other ABS-CBN titles after the success of “Chances”
Before “Sana Maulit Muli” ABS-CBN sold “Pangako Sa’yo,” another drama series to the international market. The show, which stars Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa, has been aired in Southeast Asia and Africa.

baka naman maganda lang ang pagtanggap ng taiwanese but not really a hit/???

wag mo namang iparehas ang oras ng pagtulog mo sa pilipinas sa schedule ng mga taiwanese…
taiwan is a much more advanced country than the philippines and they have different schedules…so sana maulit muli being a hit is a likely very true…

ahhh! ganun ba??? advanced country din ang america pero ang 11pm na timeslot does not really makes an impact. plus my sister working there told me that they are sometimes watching it but its not really a hit since the timeslot is very late…

it was a nice teleserye, i used to watch SMM and we as a family makes it a habit to watch all kapamilya primetime programs. Because of the quality of the programs that is why we prefer abs-cbn as SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT AND NEWS. SMM really entertained us. And I would not be surprised if it will hit also in countries where Pangako Sayo shown.
