My Girl is an upcoming romantic series on ABS-CBN starring the hottest love team Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson. It is a remake from the SBS Korean drama of the same title starring Korean heartthrob Lee Dong Wook.

The cast of the Tagalog version of the Koreanovela, “My Girl”, ABS-CBN’s star studded summer offering, is now complete.

Kimerald will be joined by Enchong Dee, Cathy Gonzaga, Regine Angeles, Niña Jose and newest talent, David Chua. Niña, now managed by Manny Valera and who made a splash with her sexy pictorial in FHM, is glad to be back with ABS-CBN, which discovered her in PBB Teens.

Synopsis:

Jasmine (Kim Chiu) is an impostor, proficient in Cebuano, Chinese, and Tagalog, while Julian (Gerald Anderson) is the second generation heir of a big corporation. Because of his grandfather’s illness, he is forced to ask Jasmine to act as his long-lost cousin so that his grandfather’s last wish can be fulfilled. Therefore, they are both bound in a lie so that no-one in the family knows the truth.

Julian’s intelligent ex-girlfriend, Anika who grew up in a rich family dreaming to become a world-famous beauty queen, returns to Philippines after winning a title and works hard at getting back with Julian, thus causing both she and Jasmine to have cutthroat competitions for Julian’s affection.

The series is set to premiere on May 19, 2008 replacing Maligno.
