Kapuso-turned-kapamilya talent Cristine Reyes will star in the upcoming ABS-CBN soap opera, Eva Fonda, a remake of the 1976 hit movie Mrs. Eva Fonda, 16 starring Alma Moreno. (Check out the teaser after the jump)

The series will be directed by Jon Reid and Frasco Mortiz. The cast will include Jason Abalos, Joross Gamboa, Princess Ryan, Jean Saburit, Janna Garcia, and Baron Geisler. Eva Fonda, which starts airing on May 19, is Cristine’s first major project under the kapamilya network since her released by GMA-7 as their talent last month.

Eva Fonda is adapted from th 1976 blockbuster film written by Pablo S. Gomez and directed by Emmanuel Borlaza. It is said to be the movie that launched the then little known Alma Moreno.
