Total serendipity, this is the story of David Cook. It was his brother who auditioned for American Idol and instead, he ended up winning it.
Yes folks, David Cook is the new American Idol!
David Cook won by 56 percent. Archie got 44%.

in not satisfied for the results. the 3 rounds goes to archuleta…eniwei, di natin masisisi mga tao, sila naman ang nagvote sa kanila.in fairness, gwapo si David Cook. May appeal sya. Si archuleta naman, napakabata pa nia. parang di angkop na syay maging american idol season 7.

i was like so happy when i heard the results…
i love david cook.. he is like the best singer of the season..
too bad for archie… he’s still young anyways so he can still grab the spotlight…

David Archuleta’s vocal coach, Dean Kaelin, reported heavy producer involvement during the arrangement of the week of the final three. Kaelin cited the producers telling Archuleta to sing ‘Longer’ at a slower tempo than he rehearsed with, giving David Cook the song ‘I Don’t Wanna Miss a Thing’ (a song that had been slated for Archuleta two weeks prior), and disallowing Syesha Mercado (but allowing Cook) the use of strings for her song.
