76 beauties are currently in China vying for the first ever Miss Leisure. The first special award, Miss Smile, was grabbed by our very own Sarah Katrina Miñoza. Netherlands and Venezuela were 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Sarah Katrina Miñoza, a 23-year-old student, is currently competing in Suzhou, China with 75 other delegates from around the globe. The winner of the first edition of Miss Leisure will win 10,000 US dollars and a crown.

The main objective of the beauty pageant is to develop the infrastructure of tourism in Suzhou, China, as well as strengthening the friendly and cultural ties between the participating countries from different corners of the world to Suzhou and also in support of the program of development of tourism in this city.

The coronation night of Miss Leisure 2008 is happening on June 27, 2008.
