Judy Ann Santos is Staying on ABS-CBN

Despite the occasional conflicts within her mother studio in the past, Judy Ann Santos is not transferring to GMA 7 in contrary to earlier reports.

Judy Ann Santos and her manager Alfie Lorenzo had a “tampo” with ABS-CBN from time to time. The first was when her movie with GMA Films “Ouija” wasn’t allowed to be promoted to any ABS-CBN shows. Then the DVD of Ouija was released in the US in time for their premiere showing there. And then the Star Cinema/Viva Films movie “When Love Begins” was scheduled to the same screening date with her movie “Ploning”. And other things that made Judy Ann Santos appeared in various shows on the kapuso network to air her “sama ng loob.”

But according to Star Cinema’s Malou Santos, they had a meeting with Judy Ann Santos and her manager Alfie Lorenzo in the presence of ABS-CBN’s big bosses like Mr. Gabby Lopez, ABS-CBN President Ms. Charo Santos-Concio and Ms. Cory Vidanes. Malou said that the “lipatan” issue was not mentioned in the meeting.

As agreed upon, Judy Ann is about to do the following projects with ABS-CBN:

1. An episode in Maalaala Mo Kaya.
2. A sitcom together with Ai Ai delas Alas and his fiance Ryan Agoncillo.
3. A movie with Star Cinema.
4. A teleserye called “Nurserye” (formerly “Habang May Buhay”) together with Derek Ramsay.

Alfie Lorenzo, hinted in his column in Abante Tonite last month, that Judy Ann Santos will make a big announcement this month in obvious reference to a possible transfer from ABS-CBN to GMA-7. But since they sealed some deals with ABS-CBN last July 10, then it’s confirmed that Judy Ann Santos will remain a “kapamilya.”
