Catherine Loria is Grand Winner in the 2008 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA)

The Philippines is on top of the world of performing arts for the third time! Our very own Catherine Loria was declared Grand Champion Performer of the World in the recently concluded “Talent Olympics” in Hollywood.
13-year-old Catherine Loria, from Tiaong, Quezon Province, was proclaimed Grand Champion Performer of the World, a major feat which was won by Jed Madela in 2005 and Aria Clemente in 2007. She sang Yolanda Adam’s version of “I Believe I Can Fly” at the finals. She bested fellow junior contestants Tippy dos Santos and Rachel Razon, junior vocalists also from the Philippines, Courtney Mary Janssen from New Zealand, and Oleksandr Chernenko from Ukraine.
On the other hand, Andrew Clarke from Jamaica was proclaimed Grand Champion Performer of the World in the senior edition beating our very own Marielle Corpuz.
More than 40 countries participated in the annual event which is patterned after the Olympics.
The national directors for Team Philippines this year are Carlo Orosa and Oliver Oliveros.

with what happened to claudine and angel, we’re now in doubt of believing both camps..both have their bad records set and no doubt they can do that proven issue..actually, angel will suffer in the hand of abs management because of the palakasan system..she will never win over the other established princesses and queens of abs..she could not outshine them in terms of acting coz angel has to improve her acting skills..her acting in lobo isn’t impressive to the point filipinos in canada could not take to watch her teleserye anymore..she needs to improve and that improvement will take place soon..i know that..but we cant deny the fact that her star is fading..i hope abs will give her a big break!lobo isn’t a big break for her..she deserves something better..she shouldn’t appear in cheap shows like wowowee!my god!she never had a skill in hosting!even in dancing though she’s improving and in singing?never mind..forget about the singing and concentrate on acting..dont be too boastful to the extent disrespecting superior artists..you must be the one who will make the first move on approaching them and greeting them..nevertheless, we wish u goodluck!we hope ur movie with JLC would turn out good and not a flop one just like LOBO!
