David Cook’s First Concert Will Be in the Philippines

Straight from the horse’s mouth, American Idol David Cook said he booked his first show, post idol, January 27, 2009 in the Philippines.
It’s possible that the current American Idol will have his first solo concert in the Philippines before he start touring the US to promote his debut album.
In a report by Chika Minute on 24 Oras, David Cook himself divulged his plan to visit the Philippines. Based from an interview by CHUM FA in Canada, David said “We booked my first show, post-idol, January 27 in the Philippines.”
When asked if it’s a part of his world tour, David said “You know, I don’t know. I think the Philippines show will be a one-off and then we’ll start the tour in the States not long after.”
The 25-year-old rocker is currently working on his debut album which is due for a November release. David currently holds the record for having the most number of songs in the Billboard’s Hot 100 Digital Charts.

it’s a good news that David Cook is actually going here in the Philippines for his first post idol show… to think he’s doing it first in the Philippines! I think that’s really something else, right?
Let’s just support this great talent and not waste our time with non-sense quarrels.
It’s the music the he makes that matters anyway.

pinoy idol contestants suck, all of them. i mean seriously, the show is lame and so is everyone in it. the judges make me laugh. they don’t know what they’re saying most of the time. it’s like they’re watching a completely different performance. they admire what i consider a total junk if i were to be asked. i don’t think the show will ever survive another season. it’s crap, i really hope it ends soon.

i think that’s awesome. david cook is the best idol yet and im sure he can beat every record set by anyone who came out of that show. i wasn’t even a fan of AI until this guy came on stage. truly amazing. i’ll go see david on january 27 no matter what. my sister works at GMA, she’ll take care of me!

I pity David Cook if GMA hosts his concert here. GMA productions are low class eh and have cheap taste. Hope he gets a better production, not necessarily connected to any local TV stations.

Sigurado yan sa GMA yan magpopromote nasa kanila ang Penoy Idol e. Kahit naman ala ang GMA dudumugin pa rin si David Cook ng mga tagahanga kasi galing yan sa AMERICAN Idol..

d na kailangan ni cook ng tfc or gma ptv dahil ckat siya sa US at sa ibang panig ng mundo dahil sa show na AI. ipinlbas din naman ito sa ibang bansa gaya ng pilipinas.duh!

Ay ang abs kc kahit sino inaangkin nila basta mapagkitaan. Like charice pempengco sobrang echapwera siya pagkatapos matalo sa little big star di nga nila na guest nila ito kahit asap lang. Pero ng sumikat sa ibang bansa biglang angkin agad. Ang latest Sandara Park untiunti ng nagkakapangalan sa korean showbiz. Pagkatapos nilang isuka si Sandara cguro aangkinin na naman nila ito. Pati ba naman si david cook aangkinin nila na kahit ano gawin nila di talaga nila makukuha kasi conflict of interest dahil endemol ang abs at exclusive contract naman si david cook kay simon cowell at fremantle.
GMA is the only philippine channel na conected sa fremantle media. Same thing lang ito kay daughtry GMA ang official media partner at MTV philippines naman ang official music channel.
It will be for sure mas conflict of interest kasi by january siguro dahil maguumpisa na ang BIG BROTHER.
